Pet Supplies Plus opens in Wichita Falls, offering variety

WICHITA FALLS (KFDX/KJTL) — Wichita Falls just got a little more pet-friendly with the opening of Pet Supplies Plus on Call Field Road.

The new store, which opened its doors on October 10, is already drawing in pet owners who are eager for more variety, convenience, and a neighborhood-style shopping experience.

The store features aisles stocked with pet food, treats, toys, grooming supplies and even a self-service dog wash, all designed to cater to pets of every kind, from dogs and cats to birds and fish.

Store manager Ron Hammond said the goal is to create a welcoming place for “pet parents,” not just customers.

“The average American spends most of their money on two things — their children and their pets,” Hammond said. “We want to cater to that pet parent and meet their needs. We don’t refer to them as customers. They’re our neighbors.”

Pet Supplies Plus prides itself on being locally owned and operated. It offers both national brands and its own exclusive product lines. Unlike larger pet retail chains, the store encourages leashed pets to walk the aisles alongside their owners, enhancing the neighborhood atmosphere.

Local shopper Breanna McLoughlin said the addition of the store offers a much-needed selection of items.

“It’s super exciting, especially because this pet store has a much larger variety than the other local pet stores,” she said. “It gives us great options for our dog and our cats at home. And the people here have been super helpful with anything we need.”

Beyond retail, the store plans to become an active part of the Wichita Falls pet community. Hammond says they are preparing to host adoption events and collaborate with local rescue groups.

“We will be partnering with as many pet rescues as will allow us to, helping in their rescue efforts to find adopted dogs or cats,” he said.

Whether it’s treats, toys or a scratch behind the ears, Pet Supplies Plus aims to make every visit feel like home for both pets and their owners.

The store is located on 3801 Call Field Rd. and is open Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
