Fifth candidate files for District 3 Longview council seat
The District 3 Longview City Council election became a five-way race this week.
Brandon Smith, 46, describes himself as a business owner in his candidate filing for the May 2 election.
The other candidates who have filed for the District 3 position are Darrin “Rudy” Rudolph, Brenda J. Wooldridge, Marlena Cooper and G Floyd.
The current District 3 representative, Wray Wade, is running for a seat on the Gregg County Commissioners Court.
In District 4, Councilman John Nustad is seeking re-election. He is unopposed so far.
Candidate filing ends Friday.
