Winners announced in ETX View’s fifth annual 40 Under Forty awards
The winners of ETX View’s fifth annual 40 Under Forty awards have been announced.
Chosen by the community during online voting, the winners are young professionals who have achieved success, given back to East Texas and excelled in their field of expertise before the age of 40.
The 40 winners were announced Saturday online at tylerpaper.com and news-journal.com and inside a special edition of ETX View mailed to home delivery subscribers of the Tyler Morning Telegraph and Longview News-Journal. A digital flipbook version of the magazine was also published online.
How does it work?
Now in its fifth year, ETX View created the 40 Under Forty awards program in 2021 with a goal to recognize impactful East Texans who contribute to making the community a great place to live, work and play. The nominees, finalists and winners are leaders in their fields. In 40 categories of different industries and fields, ETX View’s awards program aims to honor people from all different careers and walks of life.
Each year, the awards begin with an online nomination phase, where the community can nominate any eligible young professional. Next is the voting phase, during which readers have the opportunity to vote daily for one of the three finalists in every category. As winners are tallied, finalists are invited into ETX View’s offices in Tyler and Longview for a photo shoot day, where they each have headshots taken for free by a professional photographer. Lastly, winners are announced then highlighted in a keepsake publication – ETX View’s commemorative 40 Under Forty magazine. The magazine also recognizes runners-up.
The 2025-2026 awards are presented by East Texas Professional Credit Union.
