Salvation Army brings Christmas to Tyler families in annual Red Kettle campaign

TYLER, Texas (KETK) — The Salvation Army’s Red Kettle campaign kicks off in Tyler today, helping bridge the gap for people facing financial hardship in the community.

The Red Kettle campaign aims to raise money for the Salvation Army to provide Christmas to local families and those in need year-round. The Salvation Army of Tyler hosted the kickoff of their local campaign Friday morning at Broadway Square Mall.

This campaign is the Salvation Army’s primary fundraising initiative and funds collected locally stay in the community.

The 2025 Red Kettle campaign will have over 40 locations around town, with some including Bass Pro Shop and the Chick-fil-A off the SSW Loop. The event comes to a close on Dec. 24.
