TYLER, Texas (KETK) — As temperatures begin to fall, the Tyler Public Library is teaming up with Tyler Animal Control to collect blankets to keep animals at the shelter warm during the upcoming winter season.
Blankets can be dropped off at the library circulation desk from Nov. 10 until Dec. 5. The shelter is ideally looking for gently used blankets sized 50×50 inches or 60×60 inches to fit the kennels for animals of all sizes.
Those wanting more information about the blanket collection can contact the Tyler Public Library at (903) 593-7323 or email IDesk@TylerTexas.com. Additionally, those wishing to adopt or foster a pet over the winter can begin those steps by visiting Tyler Animal Services or calling the shelter at (903) 535-0045.
