WICHITA FALLS (KFDX/KJTL) — The Wichita Falls Faith Mission is urgently seeking community donations of fleece blankets and winter coats as temperatures drop in the area.
The WFFM, which provides meals, shelter and essential resources to individuals and families experiencing homelessness in Wichita Falls, is running low on these critical items.
“As temperatures continue to fall, we see more people coming through our doors seeking shelter, warmth and hope,” said Steve Sparks, Chief Executive Officer of Wichita Falls Faith Mission.
The Mission is requesting donations of new or gently used winter coats in all sizes for men, women, and children, as well as new fleece blankets.
Donations can be dropped off at Wichita Falls Faith Mission Clothing Ministry, located at 1205 Lamar St, Monday through Friday between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m.
Monetary donations are also welcome and can be made online at faithmissionwf.org/givenow.
“Something as simple as a warm blanket or coat can make a huge difference,” Sparks added. “Your kindness can help someone in our community stay safe and warm this winter.”
For more information about donating or volunteering, community members are encouraged to contact Wichita Falls Faith Mission at (940) 723-5663 or visit faithmissionwf.org.
