Prostitution arrests made after McAllen massage parlor probe

The McAllen Police Department is investigating a local massage parlor after two women were arrested Thursday for prostitution.

According to a news release from the department, McAllen police worked with state and federal agents regarding an investigation of the massage parlor located in the 4300 block of North 10th Street in McAllen.

As a result of the investigation, 39-year-old Ana Rosa Cabrera Granados of Pharr and 44-year-old Jassel Mercedes Torres Romero of McAllen were arrested.

The two women are charged with prostitution, a class B misdemeanor. They have yet to be arraigned.

There could be additional charges as the investigation unfolds.

The McAllen Police Department is asking anyone who may have information pertaining to the case to contact the McAllen Crime Stoppers at (956) 687-8477. Anonymous tips may also be submitted through the smart phone app, “P3 Tips.” Any information that leads to an arrest could result in a cash reward.
