Post Malone leads Cattle Baron’s Ball for cancer research

DALLAS (KDAF) — The 52nd annual Cattle Baron’s Ball, the largest single-night fundraiser for the American Cancer Society, took place on October 25, at South Fork Ranch with a headline performance by Post Malone.

Presented by Texas Oncology, the event celebrated its Texas roots with a theme of ‘All Cylinders,’ encouraging attendees to support the mission to end cancer. The Ball transformed 150,000 square feet of Southfork Ranch into a vibrant celebration featuring concerts, auctions, and a variety of attractions.

The Cattle Baron’s Ball is a significant fundraiser for the American Cancer Society, supporting research, patient programs, and advocacy initiatives. The Cattle Baron’s Ball has grown significantly since its inception in 1974, when it was founded by Patti Hunt and Jacque Wynne as a backyard barbecue.

This year’s event was co-chaired by Dr. Courtney Derderian and Nina Sachse. Dr. Derderian is a pediatric anesthesiologist at Children’s Health and an Associate Professor at UT Southwestern, while Sachse is a realtor with a passion for supporting cancer research.

The evening began with a VIP Party featuring a live performance by Chandler Walters, followed by a variety of attractions along Andrews Distributing Ranch Boulevard, including a Park Place Car display and a Levi’s Airstream denim customization.

Guests enjoyed a range of activities, from relaxing by Fauxcades’ campfire seating to participating in the Silent Auction sponsored by Moody Foundation. The Live Auction, led by auction-tainer Letitia Frye, offered unique experiences such as golfing with Dak Prescott and a Paris fashion show experience with Givenchy.

The night concluded with a performance by Post Malone, who energized the crowd with hits like ‘White Iverson’ and ‘Rockstar.’ The celebration continued with an after party featuring Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers and live music from The Emerald City All Stars.
