Healthy You: URHCS welcomes Dr. Jordan Teel to the physicians group

WICHITA FALLS (KFDX/KJTL) — Dr. Jordan Teel has joined United Regional’s Center for Advanced Orthopedics, becoming the only female orthopedic surgeon on staff and for hundreds of miles around.

Dr. Teel brings a wealth of experience to the Texoma community, including her previous work with the U.S. Ski and Snowboarding Team. Her arrival marks a significant addition to United Regional’s medical team, offering specialized care in orthopedic surgery.

“There really is no one-size-fits-all treatment regimen for a person,” Dr. Teel said. “It really depends what activities are important to them.”

“She is incredibly nice. So immediately coming into the room, she has this brightest smile,” said Brittany Fitzgerald, a patient of Dr. Teel.

Brittany Fitzgerald, a patient of Dr. Teel, sought treatment for severe hip pain that prevented her from sitting for more than 20 minutes. Fitzgerald appreciated Dr. Teel’s approach to avoiding surgery when possible, opting for physical therapy first.

Dr. Teel specializes in hip preservation and emphasizes individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient’s needs, whether they are recreational athletes or professionals.

Fitzgerald noted Dr. Teel’s compassion and genuine interest in her patients, which stood out during her treatment experience.

Dr. Teel’s expertise and personalized care approach are expected to benefit many patients in the Texoma area, offering new options for those seeking orthopedic treatment.
