LUFKIN, Texas (KETK) — The City of Lufkin will experience lane closures due to work being done by the Texas Department of Transportation this week.
The City of Lufkin released a traffic alert on Thursday that residents should expect traffic on Southwood Drive (FM 324). Delays and one-lane traffic with a pilot car are expected as the Texas Department of Transportation prepares the road for widening on both sides of the road.
Crews will have the single lane closure for 0.7 miles east of Saddle Creek. The City of Lufkin asks residents to take care, slow down and watch for workers when traveling on Southwood Drive.
