Gayle Lynn Walker
Graveside service for Gayle Lynn Walker, age 61 of Como, Texas will be held at 11:30 A.M. on Saturday, October 11, 2025 at Caney Cemetery in Pickton, Texas with Rev L.D. Baxley officiating and Bro Danny Caldwell assisting. Junior Gregg, Cephis Gregg, Johnny Walker, Kyle Stone, T.W. Little, and Tooter West will be serving as pallbearers. Keith Stone, Lonnie Tully, Jason Tully, Jay Griner, Josh McCoy, and Vince Ryczek will serve as honorary pallbearers. Visitation will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, October 11, 2025 at Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home. Miss. Walker passed away on October 6, 2025 at Mother Frances Hospital – Tyler.
Gayle was born on September 16, 1964 in Sulphur Springs, Texas to Billy Troy and Jerry Ann (Gayle) Walker. She worked as the city secretary and city clerk for the Como. She also worked as a waitress.
She is survived by her mother, Jerry Ann “Granny” Walker; sister, Lou Ann Arnold and husband, Vince Ryczek; son, Daniel Gregg and wife, Somer; nephew, Matthew Peyton and wife, Zandra; great niece and nephew, Zaylee Ann Peyton, Maddox Troy Glenn Peyton; feline companion Burger Buddy.
Gayle was preceded in death by her father; horse, Momma Girl; dogs, Ally and Lasha; Wilbur the pig, and Mugsy the raccoon.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Sulphur Bluff Scholarship Foundation through Alliance Bank.
