TYLER, Texas (KETK) — The city of Tyler hosted a cybersecurity conference today as part of Cybersecurity Awareness Month, highlighting the importance of protecting personal data.
The conference, organized by the Tyler Chamber of Commerce, focused on how artificial intelligence tools are increasingly being used by scammers to gather personal information.
One of the event organizers noted the significance of the turnout, stating, “We hear about these breaches and, a lot of security things on the news. It’s become something that’s a top line of most organizations now.”
The event, now in its third year, aims to connect East Texans with local professionals, providing a platform for learning and discussion without the need to travel to distant cities. Attendees were shown various resources available to assist them if they find themselves in situations requiring cybersecurity help.
