Pine Tree CTE director honored for advancing tech education

LONGVIEW, Texas (KETK) — A member of the Pine Tree ISD staff was recognized for his commitment to advancing career and technical education by the Career and Technical Association of Texas (CTAT).

Jacob Lusk is the Career and Technical Education (CTE) Director for Pine Tree ISD and was recently named the CTAT Area Administrator of the Year. The award emplifies Lusk’s passion for preparing Pine Tree students with the skills, knowledge, and confidence they need for future success.

“As CTE director, Lusk has been instrumental in developing programs that connect students to real-world learning experiences, industry partnerships, and post-secondary pathways,” Pine Tree ISD said. “His commitment ensures Pine Tree’s CTE students are equipped with skills for today’s workforce.”

The Pine Tree CTE program provides students with practical skills and experiences in various industries. The program offers students the chance to earn industry-based certifications in potential careers, including accounting, culinary arts and engineering.
