City of Mineola issues boil water notice after water main break
MINEOLA, Texas (KETK)– The City of Mineola issued a boil water notice on Thursday following a water main break.
According to the City of Mineola, due to an eight-inch water main line break in the following areas, officials had to shut the water off, causing the pressure to fall below 20 pounds per square inch:
This water main line break has caused the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality to require the city’s public water system to notify all customers to boil their water before consumption.
“Once the boil water notice is no longer in effect, the public water system will issue a notice to customers that rescinds the boil water notice in a manner similar to this notice,” the city said.
