Man arrested in connection with Reilly Road burglary

WICHITA FALLS (KFDX/KJTL) — Arresting documents have identified the man Wichita Falls Police arrested in connection with a Tuesday early morning burglary attempt.

Around 5:15 a.m. on September 10, police received a 911 call from someone inside a home in the 5500 block of Reilly Road reporting a break-in attempt.

When officers responded, they said they found a broken back door to the home, but no one was inside.

According to a witness, a vehicle had pulled into the driveway of an address west of the burglarized residence.

Officers said they found a 2005 Chevrolet Monte Carlo parked in the tree line with Cory Don Turkett inside the vehicle.

After being detained and transported to the police station, Turkett was interviewed and admitted to going to the home with another person and they intended to break in and steal. He also admitted to breaking in through the back.

As of publication, Turkett is being held in the Wichita County Jail with a bond of $125,000.
