Police investigate after train, car crash at Hallsville railroad crossing
HALLSVILLE, Texas (KETK)– Hallsville Police is investigating an accident after a train and a car collided on Wednesday afternoon.
According to the department, around 4 p.m., an accident occurred between a train and a car at the South Cypress Street railroad crossing.
Officials said the two people inside the car were able to exit before being hit by the train, but they were taken to a local hospital for evaluation.
As of now, police said they are still investigating and working through the events of the accident.
