Jeanette Charos takes helm at Meals on Wheels Wichita County

WICHITA FALLS (KFDX/KJTL) — A familiar face has joined the Meals on Wheels of Wichita County team.

Jeanette Charos, Former Marketing Director for Downtown Wichita Falls Development, has become the Director of Development and Marketing for Meals on Wheels Wichita County.

Charos hopes to use the years of knowledge she has acquired through community work to help Meals on Wheels reach Wichita County. She also has close ties to the local non-profit, as her mother utilized their services before passing away.

“One of our favorite traditions was cooking in the kitchen,” Charos said. “They got to a point where she couldn’t cook for herself anymore, so for the last couple of months, she was on Meals on Wheels and was just so excited to have hot meals and the interaction. I’m working full-time. I couldn’t be a caregiver, but I knew it was comforting for me to know that somebody saw her that day and that she was eating.”

Charos said she plans to shed light on more personal stories of clients and volunteers.
