Waggoner Ranch employee charged for pawning stolen guns: Game Wardens
WICHITA COUNTY (KFDX/KJTL) — A Waggoner Ranch employee is in jail after pawning firearms that law enforcement officials said did not belong to him.
Shaun Douglas McGee, 37, of Vernon, was arrested on Tuesday, August 12.
According to affidavits, Special Game Wardens with the Waggoner Ranch contacted other law enforcement officials regarding property that had been stolen and sold by McGee. A database search showed that on March 25, McGee had pawned two firearms.
The Texas Game Wardens reviewed camera footage from the pawn shop where the two firearms were sold and observed McGee. The serial numbers were confirmed to match those stolen from Waggoner Ranch.
McGee was charged with unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon and theft between $2,500 and $30,000. He was booked into the Wichita County Jail and, as of publication, is being held on a $20,000 bond.
