Man reunited with doctors, paramedics who saved his life at Lufkin Hospital
LUFKIN, Texas (KETK)– A man who nearly lost his life due to a life-threatening heart condition was reunited with the doctors and paramedics who saved him on Wednesday.
The reunion took place at St. Luke’s Memorial Hospital in Lufkin, where Marion Abner’s life was saved. During the reunion, paramedics, doctors and caregivers were honored for their exceptional treatment and care of Abner, which led to his successful recovery and discharge from the hospital.
Following the event, Abner spoke about why he felt the need to reunite with those who saved his life. ” People who do a good job need to be thanked and appreciated and I appreciate them,” Abner said.
St. Luke’s Hospital is a national nonprofit that provides services more than a quarter of a million patients. The hospital was recently nationally recognized as a HealthCare Center of Excellence.
