Attend ‘It Takes a Village’ for breastfeeding support in Wichita Falls

WICHITA FALLS (KFDX/KJTL) — August is National Breastfeeding Month and World Breastfeeding Week and families are invited to attend a themed event.

The Wichita Falls-Wichita County Public Health District’s WIC program and the North Texas Area Breastfeeding Coalition will host an event centered on education, support and community collaboration.

This free event for all families will be on Friday, August 8, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in room 205 at the Wichita Falls Public Library.

The theme for this year is “It Takes A Village” to support breastfeeding families. There will be speakers, community partners, activities for the family, food and drinks and much more!
