Andrews Behavioral Health wants East Texans to voice their mental health needs
TYLER, Texas (KETK) – Andrews Behavioral Health wants East Texans to help their mental healthcare work by filling out their Community Mental Health Needs Assessment Survey.
Andrews Behavioral Health is the Local Mental Health Authority for Smith, Henderson, Rains, Van Zandt and Wood counties. As a Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC), they treat more than 12,000 East Texans a year and now want the community’s input about the services East Texans need the most.
“Mental health challenges continue to affect individuals and families throughout our region,” CCBHC program director and suicide prevention coordinator Mari Gutierrez said. “Andrews Behavioral Health is committed to listening closely to the community to ensure services meet real world needs. The organization is asking community members to spend a few minutes sharing their experiences, concerns, and suggestions.”
The anonymous survey is available online in English and Spanish and can be completed in around eight minutes. After the survey is concluded, Andrews Behavioral Health will then share their findings with other healthcare and behavioral health partners in East Texas in order to enhance mental health care in the area.
“By participating in this survey, residents help us identify gaps in care and develop effective programs that improve access and support for everyone,” Gutierrez said.
