Planet Fireworks invites all to free Stop & Pop event
WICHITA FALLS (KFDX/KJTL) — A local fireworks shop has a family-friendly event where everyone can come out and shoot off fireworks with none of the mess or worry.
On Friday, July 4, from 6 p.m. until midnight, Planet Fireworks will host its annual Stop & Pop in the empty field to the west of its shop on Hwy 287. Anyone can come out and shoot fireworks or watch others pop theirs for free.
Planet Fireworks will handle all clean-up and have the Jolly Volunteer Fire Department on scene to help with any issues that may arise.
Planet Fireworks said that while this is a fun event that everyone looks forward to each year, safety is the top priority. Reckless behavior and unsafe use of fireworks will not be tolerated.
Fireworks can be purchased from Planet Fireworks or brought in.
