CW33, Nexstar team up for Lively Pointe Youth Carnival
DALLAS (KDAF) — Recently, Nexstar Media Group employees across the nation had the chance to give back to their local communities — including CW33, which headed to Irving for our Founder’s Day of Caring.
CW33 and Nexstar employees got to help with the Lively Pointe Youth Center’s summer carnival, which included tons of fun through rides, games, prizes and food.
“Giving back to the community, community involvement, those are core values for Nexstar,” said Gary Weitman, EVP and CCO at Nexstar. “We’ve always taken a great amount of pride in our relationship with the local communities in which we’re located.”
The carnival was a chance for special needs family and friends to come together and enjoy a day of good, old fashioned fun. From face painting to a petting zoo, these kids got to experience the joy and excitement of the day.
“The ability to sort of give back to each of our communities where we operate, and where we’re a big part of the community, is really just a terrific opportunity,” said Mike Biard, President and COO of Nexstar.
