Oklahoma Tobacco Helpline expands quit smoking resources
OKLAHOMA (KFDX/KJTL) — The Oklahoma Tobacco Helpline will soon double its free nicotine replacement therapy for residents.
On Tuesday, July 1, Oklahomans can access four weeks of patches, gum or lozenges.
The Oklahoma Tobacco Helpline, a Tobacco Settlement Endowment Trust program, will increase its support for Oklahomans considering quitting tobacco.
In addition to NRT, the Helpline will provide personalized support from trained coaches and text, email, phone and web-based tools designed to help each participant build a Quit Plan that works for them.
“Providing four weeks of NRT gives people more time and support to build momentum,” said Julie Bisbee, TSET executive director. “This enhanced benefit supports our mission to improve the health of Oklahomans by reducing tobacco use and increasing access to proven, effective resources.”
