BURKBURNETT (KFDX/KJTL) — A Burkburnett police captain has graduated from one of Texas’s top law enforcement leadership programs, earning praise from his department and marking a significant milestone in his career.

Burkburnett Police Captain Shane Culp has completed the Leadership Command College, the Law Enforcement Management Institute of Texas’s most comprehensive program. According to the LEMIT website, the course is often compared to the FBI National Academy.

The LCC is a nine-week program designed to give law enforcement executives and skills necessary for successful leadership in a modern agency.

In a Facebook post, the Burkburnett PD praised Culp for his dedication, saying his achievement reflects the department’s high standards.

“We are incredibly proud of his accomplishment as we continue to elevate the education, knowledge, and professional training of our department,” the post read.
