WICHITA FALLS (KFDX/KJTL) — Wichita Falls police have arrested one in a burglary where the suspect reportedly had plenty of time.
Daniel Keith Howell, 43, of Wichita Falls, is charged with burglary of a building. According to police, in late May, officers were called to The Kate apartment building on Scott Street in downtown Wichita Falls for a burglary.
Surveillance video recorded in the early-morning hours of May 25 showed a man, later identified as Howell, removing property from a secured storage closet.
Over the span of about three hours, Howell was shown on video entering and exiting the building multiple times.
Howell was identified as the suspect after the security footage was shared on a police department blog and social media.
Items taken included bed linens, pillows, blankets, mini-fridges, carpet cleaners, and televisions, valued at approximately $1,400.
Howell was arrested on Thursday, June 19. His bond is set at $20,000.
