John Wayne Booth, long-time resident of Mt. Pleasant, Texas, passed away peacefully on June 5, 2025, at the age of 89.
He was born in Lamar County, Texas, on May 11, 1936, to Bedford Edward Booth and Malvina Williams Booth of Paris, Texas. He was preceded in death by his son, Ronny Booth. John served his country in the United States Army.
John worked for many years as an electrician, a trade he took great pride in, and through which he built strong relationships across his community. Known for his work ethic, quiet strength, and warm heart, John leaves behind a legacy of dedication to family and craft.
He is survived by his daughter, Vicki Booth Lewis, grandsons, Colby Cooper and Austin Cooper, daughter-in-law, Mitzi Miller Booth, and many cherished cousins, nieces and nephews. His presence will be missed deeply by those who knew and loved him.
A graveside service will be held on July 26, 2025, at 9:30am at Evergreen Cemetery in Paris, Texas, where he will be laid to rest alongside family.
John’s memory will live on through the stories, laughter, and love shared by those whose lives he touched.
