Judge Staci Williams is celebrating Pride, Juneteenth and Independence Day by offering free weddings and free vow renewals in her courtroom.
“Absolutely free,” her announcement says. “No hidden costs.”
On Friday, June 27, Judge Williams will be in her courtroom — the 101st District Court, 600 Commerce St., 6th floor, Dallas — performing weddings and vow renewals.
Participants who are there to get married must have a marriage license with them. Marriage licenses are issued by the county clerk’s office. Vow renewals don’t require a license.
And she asks couples come for individual ceremonies — no group ceremonies. All genders, identities and backgrounds welcome. Walk-ins are welcome and ceremonies will be performed on a first-come, first serve basis.
Questions? Contact Judge Williams at: 101Court@dallascounty.org.
