STC’s Carlos Margo moderated a panel at MxLAN about AI. Here are his thoughts on how it went.
MCALLEN, Texas – Dr. Carlos Margo is dean of advanced training and apprenticeships at South Texas College.
He recently moderated an in-depth panel on AI and Tech at the MxLAN International Economic Summit. The summit, held at the McAllen Convention Center, was hosted by McAllen Economic Development Corporation.
In an interview with the Rio Grande Guardian immediately following the panel discussion, Margo discussed the emergence of AI. “It’s not just for specific industries – AI is everywhere,” Margo said. “The sooner people adopt and utilize and, at minimum, learn the functions of AI and what it is, the better off everybody is going to be.”
