Piney Woods Wine Trail Festival pours into Lindale
LINDALE, Texas (KETK) – East Texas wine fans had their first taste of the two-day Piney Woods Wine Trail Festival at Pickers Pavilion in Lindale on Friday.
The winetasting event allowed East Texans over 21 to taste wines from 24 wineries at the low cost of $1 per booth after paying $15 to enter.
“We want everyone to succeed. We want the wine industry in general in Texas to succeed. So we all support each other,” owner of Moody Family Wines, Joe Moody said. “It is so much fun to get together in an atmosphere like this. We love to see people come in to taste wine just to see if they’re going to like it or not.”
The event also had food, live music, vendors and activities. Anyone who missed out on Friday can swing by for the second day of the festival starting at 11 a.m. and ending at 7 p.m. on Saturday.
