Rain chances end, sunshine possible Sunday
After flooding rains fell in parts of Texoma, mainly north of the Red River, quiet weather returns to our area for the second half of the weekend. The heaviest rains fell in Comanche County, Oklahoma, with six-inch rains falling Saturday morning around Lawton, Fort Sill and Cache, resulting in people having to be rescued from cars caught in floodwaters. In north Texas, the biggest rain accumulations were two to three inches, mainly west of Wichita Falls. Rain chances fall to the slim category tonight, Sunday, and Sunday night, then ramp up again Monday night into Tuesday when the risk of severe weather returns to Texoma.
