Texas ranks third in business startups, says new report
DALLAS (KDAF) — A new business started nearly every minute of the day in Texas last year, according to a new report.
Researchers at Switch On Business analyzed the latest available business formation data from the U.S. Census and ranked all 50 states by the number of new small business applications submitted per hour in 2024.
Texans submitted the third-highest number of new small business applications last year: 56 per hour, or over 490,000 total, making it the third state for startup activity in America.
