Happy Thursday,When it’s time to shop for groceries and you make your way to the condiments aisle, what type of pickles do you usually pick out? Do you enjoy bread and butter? Or do you gravitate toward dill or sweet? As for me, I’m a dill pickle kind of guy. We all have our favorites — and I’m sure we defend our choice wholeheartedly. Despite our preferences, pickle lovers make up quite the tight-knit community. Don’t believe me? I suggest you drive south to Mansfield this Saturday to witness the St. Paddy’s Pickle Parade & Palooza, an event dedicated solely to pickles. Fun fact: The 83rd Legislature made Mansfield the Pickle Capital of Texas in 2013, one year after the city’s inaugural parade. Also, after nearly three years of construction, the National Medal of Honor Museum in Arlington’s Entertainment District is opening its door March 25. North Texans are invited to a preopening public event outside Choctaw Stadium March 22 that features a variety of attractions, including fireworks, a drone show and live performances. It’s an evening you don’t want to miss.Relish the world’s only St. Paddy’s Pickle Parade — it’s dill-ightful
