Dallas Pride officials announced today (Thursday, Nov. 7) that the Dallas Pride celebration is returning to Fair Park in 2025 but with a new, later date: Next year, the two-day Dallas Pride Festival and Parade will be held June 14-15.

Dallas Pride Executive Director Sherrell Cross explained that the 2025 “celebration of the work done year-round to uplift the LGBTQ+ community” will take place a week later than usual — on the second weekend of June, rather than the first — to make room in the schedule for WorldPride 2025.

“On its 50th Anniversary of Pride, Washington, D.C. has been selected to host WorldPride 2025,” Cross said.

“Their parade, festival and concert will take place the weekend of June 7-8, which is be the traditional date of Dallas Pride,” Cross said. “We understand that many in our community wish to attend this historic event in D.C., [so] the Dallas Pride board has determined that postponing our celebration to June 14-15 will better accommodate our community’s desires.”

Cross said that “given the overwhelming success of last year’s event,” the Dallas Pride festival will again be a two-day event, with vendors and festival activities continuing from Saturday into Sunday, with “all-ages events [offering] a weekend of fun honoring the LGBTQ+ community, its allies, sponsors and supporters.

Dallas Pride Music Festival on June 14 will feature a variety of musical and dance performances on multiple indoor and outdoor stages. More than 200 vendors are expected to have booths at the festival, Cross said, and the Family Pride Zone will feature several bounce houses, face painting, entertainment for the kids and the Pride Train ride in the Automobile Building at Fair Park.

The festival will also include Teen Pride, providing “a supportive environment for LGBTQ+ youth ages 13-19 and their friends to enjoy live entertainment from artists and DJs, and other age-appropriate activities,” Cross said, adding that local animal rescue groups will also be on-site.

Dallas Pride Music Festival will be held Saturday, June 14, from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tickets for the festival that day are $10 for those 13 and older and $8 for seniors 65 and older (at the gate only). Children younger than 12 are admitted from.

On Sunday, June 15, Dallas Pride kicks off at 10 a.m. with the pre-parade festival, entertainment and activities, including vendors with refreshments, DJs spinning, shopping and more.

The Dallas Pride Parade winds its way through Fair Park starting at 2 p.m. Sunday. It is expected to include some 150 entries are more and to be over a mile long.

Admission is free for the festival and parade on Sunday.

Paid parking is available at Fair Park, or attendees can take the DART Green Line directly to Fair Park.

Registration opens Monday, Nov. 11, at 10 a.m., and individuals, companies and organizations that would like to participate as a vendor in the festival at Dallas Pride or register as an entry in the parade should visit DallasPride.org/registration to find vendor, sponsor and parade participant registration links.

Cross said that the mission of Dallas Pride is to “strengthen, support and celebrate the LGBTQ+ community. By prioritizing inclusiveness, Dallas Pride fosters a feeling of belonging for everyone from youth to seniors by creating events, initiatives and programs that foster connections between members of the community, its allies and its supporters.”
