Student career readiness jumped in Fort Worth school districts. Here’s how
Several districts across Fort Worth recently celebrated growth in the number of students who are considered career-ready by state criteria.Fort Worth ISD, Everman ISD and Eagle Mountain-Saginaw ISD self-reported jumps of at least 10 percentage points more college-, career- and military-ready students than the previous year, highlighting the numbers as evidence of achievements in preparing students for a successful future. Educators often refer to this career-readiness metric as CCMR. School board members across Fort Worth, while celebratory, were also curious as to how their districts got there. Recent changes to criteria that determine if a student is career-ready have impacted districts’ success rates; every district in Fort Worth that did self-report showed higher numbers of students considered career-ready.!function(){“use strict”;window.addEventListener(“message”,(function(a){if(void 0!==a.data[“datawrapper-height”]){var e=document.querySelectorAll(“iframe”);for(var t in a.data[“datawrapper-height”])for(var r=0;r
