Dunkin’ to launch Halloween treats, no trick
It’s not a trick. Dunkin’ has announced a collection of new Halloween-inspired treats, set to launch Oct. 16.
Potion Macchiato, available hot or iced, blends layers of espresso and milk with a purple marshmallow ube flavor. Did y’all know an ube is a purple yam, with a slightly nutty, vanilla taste? It’s popular in Filipino desserts. The vegetable turns the drink purple, making it extra creepy.
The spider specialty donut is getting a makeover for spooky season. The formerly orange-frosted donut is adorned with purple frosting this year and, as always, topped with a glazed chocolate Munchkins donut hole, complete with chocolate drizzle for spider legs and white drizzle forming the eyes.
Dunkin’ is also introducing a new Halloween Munchkins bucket. The purple bucket, illustrated with a sweet Halloween motif, can be filled with a 50-count assortment of Munchkins donut hole treats, with new Halloween sprinkle-covered Munchkins added to the assortment.
Finally, Dunkin’ is dressing up its classic vanilla, chocolate, and strawberry frosted donuts with a blend of chocolate and orange sprinkles.
Superfans of the brand will be hyped to know the popular DunKings tracksuit, made famous in the Super Bowl LVIII ad, are back in stock in adult and child sizes. They’d make a cool costume option for a trio of men wishing they could be like Tom Brady, Ben Affleck and Matt Damon.
Dunkin’ has restaurants locally in Edinburg, McAllen, Pharr and Brownsville.
