(Special to The Dallas Examiner) – United Way of Metropolitan Dallas has been awarded a significant five-year grant by the Department of Health and Human Services to continue its crucial Health Care Navigation work. The grant, valued at $2.3 million per year, will enable United Way to further its mission of connecting underserved communities with essential health care resources and insurance coverage.

The Health Care Navigation program, which was initially funded through a three-year grant awarded in August 2021, has been instrumental in assisting North Texas residents in understanding and accessing health care options. The program has provided personalized assistance to individuals and families, helping them navigate the complexities of the health insurance marketplace and ensuring they receive the coverage they need.
