Happy Thursday, Meteorologically speaking, summer doesn’t end until Sept. 22.But, personally, I will begin celebrating autumn this weekend. Both because it has superior weather and Fall Gallery Night is set for this Saturday, Sept. 7. This free event is one of my favorite markers of the changing season. It’s a coordinated celebration across Fort Worth and Arlington where galleries open their doors and invite the public in to check out art on this roving, self-guided tour. From painters to photographers and glass artists, there are so many talented individuals in the community. Being able to see what they’re up to and hear what inspired their work is always a treat. The light bites and occasional free glass of wine doesn’t hurt either. The Fort Worth Art Dealers Association, which coordinates the seasonal event, lists 41 official stops this time around. To check out a map of participating locations, click here.If you want a curated list, I suggest checking out the Art Tooth Fall Gallery Night Party Bus. For $50, you can board a luxury coach and make new friends as you ride to six different stops throughout the night. The Art Tooth bus is known to sell out, so snag tickets while you can.
