Ashley Brundage won her Democratic primary to run in the November election for a Florida House seat. If she wins, she will become the first out transgender woman to serve in the Florida Legislature.

The seat is in the Tampa area and is currently represented by a Republican, but in 2020 the district overwhelmingly voted for Joe Biden.
