The city said the district will bring one of the first High 5 Entertainment venues to the Dallas-Fort Worth area. The three-story, family-friendly space will feature activities like bowling alleys, arcade games and a rooftop concert venue. In 1860, Julian Feild and Ralph Man built the first steam-powered mill in Mansfield, laying the foundation for the city. Inside the mill was a boiler powered by a small, crucial component — the staybolt. It was a “modest yet vital piece” that kept the energy contained and cohesive, according to a city statement. “We are honored to partner with the City of Mansfield and FC Dallas on the Mansfield stadium project,” REV Entertainment President Sean Decker said in a statement. “This groundbreaking is a landmark moment for the City, and marks the first step towards endless opportunities that will be available in the Entertainment District.”The facility is scheduled to open in spring 2026 and will host both youth and elite athletics.“Providing opportunities for communities across North Texas to play and experience soccer is an important part of what we do at FC Dallas,” FC Dallas Chief Financial Officer and ChiefOperating Officer Jimmy Smith said. “We’re thrilled to work with the City of Mansfield and REV on this project to help grow the game and introduce more fans to the sport.”FC Dallas is owned by Hunt Sports LLC. Since it was bought from Major League Soccer in 2003, FC Dallas has developed the 145-acre Toyota Stadium and Soccer Center in Frisco where it plays its home matches. FC Dallas and its affiliates operate the MLS NEXT Academy, boys’ and girls’ youth programs as well as MLS NEXT Pro’s North Texas SC. REV Entertainment serves as the official events partner of the Texas Rangers, including serving as the official booking agent for both Globe Life Field and Choctaw Stadium in Arlington. REV Entertainment also has created and produced several original concepts, including the Shriners Children’s College Baseball Showdown, one of the highest-attended tournaments in college baseball.Mansfield City Council officially approved the operating agreement with REV Entertainment and FC Dallas during its Feb. 12 meeting. At the Arlington Report, news decisions are made independently of our board members and financial supporters.
