“Christian, husband, dad. U.S. Senator for Ohio. Hoping to be your next Vice President,” is how JD Vance describes himself on X.
Two pictures of Vance (that’s JD, not Vivian) in drag turned up on X yesterday. Vance hasn’t commented yet on how this is completely different than what drag performers do. You know, the kind of drag the Texas Legislature tried to outlaw last session.
“A spokesperson for the Republican vice presidential pick did not deny the photo’s authenticity” when asked by the Daily Beast. The online newsmagazine describes how the pictures ended up on X. The picture was taken by a classmate at Yale Law School in 2012, who sent it to another classmate who sent it to podcaster Matt Bernstein, who posted it to X.
Online, reposters of the picture have been asking, “What should his drag name be?” Some of the names that came up on X after searching “JD Vance drag name” were Alotta Loveseat, Miss Ashley Furniture, Courtney Loveseat and Sofa Loren.
