Dallas Volunteer Attorney Program hosting legal clinics in August

The Dallas Volunteer Attorney Program, a joint initiative of the Dallas Bar Association and Legal Aid of NorthWest Texas, and local Dallas lawyers have partnered to hold free Virtual and In-Person Legal Clinics in August.

Virtual clinics are as follows:

  • • Aug. 1: DVAP and Nexstar Media Group Inc., 8 a.m.-8 p.m.
  • Aug. 2: Veterans Clinic, DVAP and Bradley Arant Boult Cummings — 8 a.m.-8 p.m.
  • Aug. 8: DVAP and Cisco, 8 a.m.-8 p.m.
  • Aug. 22: DVAP and DLA Pipers, 8 a.m.-8 p.m.
  • Aug. 29: DVAP and Haynes and Boone LLP, 8 a.m.-8 p.m.

In addition, DVAP will host the following in-person clinics:

  • Veteran’s Clinic, Aug 2, 1:30 p.m., VA Medical Center, 4500 S. Lancaster Road. Sponsored by DVAP and Goldman Sachs.
  • South Dallas Clinic, Aug. 13, 5:30 p.m., Martin Luther King Jr. Community Center, 2922 Martin Luther King Blvd. Sponsored by DVAP and AT&T.
  • East Dallas Clinic, Aug. 15, 5:30 p.m., Grace United Methodist Church,4105 Junius. Sponsored by DVAP.
  • West Dallas Clinic, Aug. 22, 5:30 p.m., West Dallas Multipurpose Center, 2828 Fish Trap Road. Sponsored by DVAP and Fish & Richardson.
  • South Dallas Clinic, Aug. 27, 5:30 p.m., Martin Luther King Jr. Community Center, 2922 Martin Luther King Blvd. Sponsored by DVAP.

Virtual Clinics only: Dallas County residents who would like to apply for free legal assistance should fill out the form found

online here. Once the form has been completed, expect an attorney’s call on the respective date. Participants should watch for a call from an unknown number that should be labeled “No Caller ID” or something similar.
