Dallas Bears/TBRU, BearDance donate $165K
Each year, Dallas Bears and BearDance join together during the Texas Bear Round-Up weekend to raise money for organizations serving the North Texas LGBTQ and HIV/AIDS communities.
Texas Bear Round-Up 28: The Roaring Twenties and BearDance: Jungle Roar, both held the third weekend in March this year, raised $165,000, and at their recent awards dinner, Dallas Bears and BearDance presented checks to the four organizations chosen as this year’s beneficiaries:
- Cathedral of Hope Food Benevolence Program, $80,000.
- Coalition for Aging LGBT, $40,000.
- Greg Dollgener Memorial AIDS Fund, $40,000.
- AIDS Services of Dallas, $5,000.
