Happy Thursday, neighbor.

The last thing I want to worry about on a night out is driving. The second to last thing? Parking. When I moved to Fort Worth, my husband and I were very strategic in looking for a walkable neighborhood, which made the Near Southside the obvious choice.Living near places like Stage West, Amphibian Stage and Tulips FTW, I knew we wouldn’t be short on entertainment options. However, I would have never predicted that I would also find myself making plans to see live music in an architecture and interior design firm or a boutique that sells kaftans and candles.I love the unconventional venues and businesses that are opening their doors for the second of four Lost ’N Sound festivals happening this summer. For anyone who isn’t lucky enough to live within walking or biking distance, the event is easy to access through public transit. For those further afield, there is ample on-street parking and a free, hop-on, hop-off shuttle to take you between venues.  The event is a good option for celebrating Father’s Day weekend with a dad who prides himself on being hip. Otherwise, our food columnist Amy Burgess has you covered if you’d prefer to check out the most recent additions to the Fort Worth restaurant scene. Finally, my colleague Georgie London has a roundup of local Juneteenth events happening around Tarrant.
