Here’s where to go in Fort Worth, Tarrant County for free food for children

Public schools throughout Fort Worth and Tarrant County are serving free, fresh meals to children during the summer. 

Charter schools and traditional school districts offer the meals through the federal government’s National School Lunch and Breakfast programs.

Here’s where to find free meals for your children:

Fort Worth ISD

The school district will offer free breakfasts and lunches to all children 18 or younger until July 2. 

Meals are available Mondays through Thursdays, and enrollment in a summer program is not required.

The charter network will serve all children 18 or younger, regardless of whether they are enrolled in IDEA Public Schools.

Meals will be provided Mondays through Fridays until July 26.

Breakfast is served 7:30-9 a.m., and lunch is 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Food service will be closed on federal holidays and July 1-5.

Uplift Education

The charter school system will serve free meals starting June 10 and ending July 19. Service is open to children 18 or younger. Children do not have to be Uplift students.

Breakfast is served 7:30-8:30 a.m., and lunch is available 10 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
