Elizabeth Nash credits caring for others and maintaining a close relationship with her faith as the reasons she’s celebrating 100 years of life.
Members of the Best Year’s Club at Como Community Center threw a birthday party ahead of Nash’s birthday on May 6. Those gathered expressed their appreciation for Nash’s friendship.
“I call her Mama Nash. When I’m not here, she calls and she checks on me, and I think that’s so wonderful,” said Best Year’s Club member BeLinda Weathers, 69.
As Como Community Center staff walked into the party, they sang “Happy Birthday.” Nash rose from her chair and danced, then gave each of them a hug.
