Blue Family Fund continues its mission of support for first responder families with a successful benefit concert
Hurst, Texas – December 19, 2023 – Blue Family Fund, a Hurst-based 501c3 non-profit, is pleased to announce the outstanding success of its recent benefit concert featuring Country Artist Trey Taylor on December 9, 2023. The intimate evening, held at The Vintage Rail in Fort Worth, was not only a celebration of country music but also a powerful testament to community support for the families of fallen or injured First Responders.
The Trey Taylor concert, hosted by Blue Family Fund, garnered tremendous support from approximately 100 country music enthusiasts and dedicated First Responder supporters. The event, which included a VIP Meet and Greet, dinner from Last Supper BBQ Smokers Food Truck, and a captivating performance by Trey Taylor, successfully raised an impressive $16,000.
Stacey Magovern, Co-Founder of Blue Family Fund, expressed gratitude, stating, “A big thank you goes out to all our sponsors and supporters. It was a very fun evening, and we enjoyed sharing it with the community, all while supporting a great cause and bringing awareness to the needs of the families left behind after losing a First Responder.”
The funds raised from the benefit concert will directly contribute to Blue Family Fund’s mission of providing financial aid and scholarships to the families of fallen First Responders. Established in 2017 by Michael and Stacey Magovern, Blue Family Fund ensures that 100% of the donations made to the Fund go directly to the families through scholarships or aid. The Magoverns do not take salaries from any donations.
Trey Taylor, the youngest African American in Country Music History, shared his commitment to the cause, stating, “When I step out on stage for one of my organizations, my goal is to tell my story, tell the organization’s story, and put those stories together.”
Blue Family Fund operates with a dual focus: raising funds for higher education scholarships for dependents of First Responders and providing financial assistance to families of fallen First Responders. The organization’s promise is that every dollar donated will directly benefit the families, either through scholarships or as aid.
The success of the Trey Taylor benefit concert was made possible by the generous support of sponsors, including Qwik Trip, C&B Remodel and Construction, Murco Wall Products, Angela Lamb Insurance Agency, Point Blank Safety Services, and Love Media Group, who sponsored the Live Stream.
Blue Family Fund continues to invite applications for scholarships from current juniors and seniors in Texas high schools and fallen officer families seeking assistance. The organization’s commitment to supporting the dependents of First Responders remains steadfast, ensuring that no family is left without the necessary support during challenging times.
